Vishay Expands Resistance Range of MCA 1206 AT Precision Series Thin Film Chip Resistors

MALVERN, Pennsylvania — May 12, 2020 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announced today that it has enhanced its 1206 form factor MC AT precision series of automotive-grade thin-film chip resistors from 47W to 10MW . The MCA1206 AT is the only device in the industry with a resistance value higher than 5MW, a temperature coefficient (TCR) as low as ±25ppm/K, a tolerance of only ±0.1%, and thin film stability.

Vishay Beyschlag MCA 1206 AT resistors have excellent moisture resistance, excellent temperature cycling stability, high sulfur resistance to ASTM B 809 standards, and extremely stable performance in harsh environments such as automotive, industrial, medical, and communication equipment. This device is typically used as a high-value Voltage divider in applications such as battery management systems.

The resistors operate at 200V, with a power rating of 400mW at +70 °C ambient temperature and -55°C to +155°C operating temperature. The device is AEC-Q200 qualified and RoHS compliant.
